— a homage —

We didn't know we were early.
We just kept showing up.

Connecting MetaMask to links we probably shouldn't have. Minting straight from the contract on Etherscan when the site fell over. Awake at 3am, hands sweating, refreshing for the next drop.

It felt like a habit. It was a head start.

Digital ownership isn't a niche — it's the next default, and it's coming for everything. By the time the world shows up, we'll have been here for years. That's what frontrunning the culture means: not beating a market — being early to the whole thing, so early most of us never noticed we're the ones writing it.

FRONTRUN is a homage to us. Everyone who ever connected a wallet, minted from a contract, sat up overnight for a drop.

We are the culture we're
running ahead of. One block at a time.

01 / THE WORK

Every wallet, a different piece.

The art is built from your wallet. Its address isn't a label on the work — it's the material the work is made of.

01 — at mint

Traits & palette

Set once, at the moment of mint. The permanent identity of the piece.

02 — the holder

The look

The numbers in the holding address map the motion, the tunnel, the form. In some, the address itself becomes the tunnel.

Palette — the piece's colours, stamped by an immutable seed the second it's mintedlocked forever
Figure treatment — how the runner is painted: static, scanlines, stripes, datamoshlocked forever
Tunnel shape — hex, square, triangle, twisted… drawn from the piece's seed and the holding wallet togetherfollows the holder
Wall texture — noise, geometry, or text. When it's text, the holder's address literally fills the wallsfollows the holder
Motion & density — speed and weight of the tunnel, mapped from the holder's digitsfollows the holder

So when a piece changes hands, it stays itself — same runner, same colours — and repaints its world for whoever holds it. New tunnel, new digits, new motion. Every transfer is the same piece running a new lane. And each piece reads a wallet its own way: hold two and your address paints two different worlds.

02 / PERMANENCE

Fully on-chain. All of it.

Most "on-chain" art keeps its image on a server. FRONTRUN doesn't. The art, the data, and the picture all live on Ethereum itself — nothing hosted, nothing to rot. Permanence isn't a promise here. It's a property of how it's built.

The artwork — rendered live, in-browser, from on-chain codeon-chain
The metadata — written into the contracton-chain
The image — stored on-chain, not hostedon-chain
pretext — a text-layout engine, run fully on-chain for the first timea first
Minting soon

Every one a 1/1.
On Ethereum.
